Kyiv, July 31 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) is to issue an additional UAH 1.8 billion to Kyiv-based Rodovid Bank, Ukrainian Premier Yulia Tymoshenko said at a meeting with the bank's depositors on Friday.

The premier said that the state, when becoming the owner of the bank, invested UAH 2.8 billion in its statutory capital, which would allow the bank to return deposits.

Tymoshenko said that from Monday, depositors in Rodovid Bank would be able to receive access to their funds placed in the bank: one can take funds in ATMs and bank branches without any restrictions.

"This is reliable, real money, and if today's debts to you [the bank's depositors] are estimated at UAH 2.2 billion, we gave UAH 2.8 billion," she said.

The premier said that the cabinet plans to pay the bank's depositors in full.

Tymoshenko also said that wages to cabinet officials would be paid via Rodovid Bank.

"We're transferring the wage accounts of cabinet officials to Rodovid Bank. We'll do this from Monday," she said.
