Kyiv, August 6 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Kyivmiskbud holding company (Kyiv) is planning in 2009 to commission about 280,000 square meters of housing in Kyiv as a customer, Kyivmiskbud Vice President Vasyl Kozachuk told journalists in Kyiv on Thursday.

"We put into operation 53,000 square meters [in the first half of 2009]. In general, we plan to reach an indicator of 280,000 square meters by the end of 2009," he said.

Earlier the company said it plans in 2009 to commission 15% less housing compared to 2008, while before this it planned to reach the 2008 indicator of 320,000 square meters of housing.

Kyivmiskbud was founded on the basis of the state municipal construction company Kyivmiskbud in 1994 through a merger of 28 daughter companies and other assets. The Kyiv territorial community owns an 80% stake in the company.

The company expects in 2009 to earn a profit of UAH 11.5 million, which is 53.9% down on the 2008 indicator, and a total income of UAH 1.898 billion.

The statutory fund of Kyivmiskbud as of late 2008 was UAH 16.535 million.
