KVIZA TRADE UPS RENTED AREA AT LOGISTICS TERMINAL NEAR KYIV TO 2,100 SQ M

Kyiv, July 31 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Kviza Trade Ltd. (Kyiv), which manages the Ukrainian Velyka Kishenya and Moldovan Green Hills Market chains, while implementing its own logistics system has increased the area of its refrigerated logistics center in the village of Schaslyve 12 kilometers from Kyiv by 40%, to2,100 square meters, according to a press release of the company.

"This is a state-of-the-art warehouse in the form of one terminal with an easy-to-use network of columns that allows the handling a great amount of products. The premise is equipped with its own cooling system with two temperature modes. A temperature of +2 to +4 C is used for grocery category food, and +5 to +7C for fresh vegetables and fruits," the press release reads citing Logistics Director Ruslan Kozak.

The company did not name the rent rate for the facility.

As reported, Kviza Trade posted a UAH 92.563 million net profit in January through June 2009, which was 2.3 times up on the same period last year.

Its net revenues from sales in the first half of 2009 grew by 16.9%, to UAH 1.502 billion, while its gross profit climbed by almost 3%, to UAH 329.903 million.

The Velyka Kishenya chain consists of 47 outlets in Ukraine whose overall trading area is 126,000 square meters in 24 cities and towns in Ukraine. It also includes two Prosto Market discount stores, in Lutsk and in Nizhyn.
