Kyiv, July 29 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Coal extracting company OJSC Krasnodonvuhillia (Luhansk region) in January to June 2009 has invested over UAH 270 million into production development, equipment modernization, and industrial safety, the company's press center has reported. Under its program for industrial safety, over the six months 8.7 kilometers of surface decontamination gas wells and 18.6 kilometers of underground decontamination gas wells were drilled. According to the press center, totally Krasnodonvuhillia is planning in 2009 to spend about UAH 670 million on development. As reported, the net profit of Krasnodonvuhillia in 2008, according to Ukrainian accounting standards, was UAH 622.291 million, while in 2007 its net loss was UAH 88.73 million. Krasnodonvuhillia in 2008 increased coal extraction by 7.7% compared to 2007, to 6.181 million tonnes. Krasnodonvuhillia is one of the leading coal extracting companies of Ukraine, which enriches ZH and K brand coking coal. It includes four mines, two mine managements, and service departments. OJSC Avdiyivka coke chemical plant (Donetsk region) owns a 99.93% stake in the company. | |
