Kyiv, July 24 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Kyiv-based Kniazha insurance company January through June 2009 collected UAH 77.257 million in insurance premiums, which was 40% up on the same period last year.

Over the period under review, the company concluded 309,834 agreements, which was 25% down on the first six months of 2008.

The company paid out UAH 53.467 million in insurance claim fees, which was 60% up year-over-year. The number of insurance claim fee payments hit 15,959, which was almost three times up.

Kniazha was set up in August 1997. Today its regional chain covers 24 Ukrainian regions and Crimea.

It holds licenses for 19 types of voluntary insurance and 11 types of obligatory insurance.
