Kyiv, August 3 (Interfax-Ukraine) – State joint-stock company Khlib Ukrainy in January to June 2009 saw a net loss of UAH 12.799 million, while for the same period in 2008 its net profit was UAH 470,000, according to the company's financial report. The company's net income in the first half of 2009 fell by 3.2 times year-on-year, to UAH 10.119 million. In the second quarter of 2009 the company saw its net sales income rise by 53.2% year-on-year, to UAH 5.535 million. At the same time its net loss in the period was UAH 8.313 million. As reported, Khlib Ukrainy was set up under a government resolution dated August 22, 1996. It includes 119 subsidiaries, including 83 production enterprises, among which, besides elevators and storage facilities, there are 34 mills and 13 combined feed plants. The total capacity of the enterprises in accepting, handling and storing grains is about five million tonnes. The company also includes the Odesa and Mykolaiv port elevators. | |
