Kyiv, August 4 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Kharkiv regional state administration plans in the near future to receive UAH 393.6 million from the national budget to prepare for hosting of the Euro 2012 European football championship, reads a posting on the official Web site of Kharkiv regional state administration.

Deputy head of Kharkiv regional state administration, Serhiy Storozhenko, said that the government had made the relevant decision.

The funds would be spent on the reconstruction of Kharkiv airport (UAH 187 million) and the Metallist stadium (UAH 206.6 million).

Storozhenko said that on Tuesday Kharkiv regional council should allocate UAH 15 million from the regional budget for the reconstruction of the stadium.

The cost of the stadium's reconstruction is estimated at UAH 500 million.

The reconstruction is to be finished in autumn.
