Kyiv, July 29 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The release of the third tranche of the International Monetary Fund's Stand-By Arrangement for Ukraine will stabilize the country's forex market, the Ukrainian Finance Ministry believes.

"I think that the developments seen on the forex market are mainly connected with certain expectations, and unfortunately one may say that the expectations of the market are not positive enough," Ihor Umansky, the acting finance minister, told reporters in Kyiv on Wednesday.

"I hope that the decision made by the IMF will improve those expectations and the trends on the forex market."

He earlier said the third tranche's funds are to be used to repay the country's foreign debt and stabilize the national currency.
