Kyiv, July 17 (Interfax-Ukraine) – State-owned Ukreximbank's charter capital will be raised by UAH 1 billion more, or 12%, to UAH 9.354 billion. This is stipulated in a cabinet resolution passed by the government at a meeting on Friday. As Interfax-Ukraine learnt from Industrial Policy Ministry Volodymyr Novytsky, the major goal of the increase in Ukreximbank's charter capital is lending under aircraft construction projects at Kharkiv and Kyiv aircraft manufacturing facilities. "About UAH 728 million will be allocated under the projects," he said. Ukreximbank was founded in 1992. All its stocks belong to the Ukrainian government. The bank ranked 5th in terms of overall assets estimated at UAH 51.07 billion among 182 operating banks by April 1, 2009, according to the National Bank of Ukraine. The government previously decided to increase the bank's capital on July 24, 2009. The capital was raised by UAH 1 billion. The Cabinet then instructed the Finance Ministry to issue nine-year government domestic loan bonds to the same amount at a 9.5% interest rate per annum. | |
