Moscow. August 5 (Interfax) - Gazprom exported 4.7 billion cubic meters (bcm) of gas to Turkey, its third biggest client, in the second quarter of 2009, down 14% from the same period of last year, a source in the government told Interfax. The decline seen in the second quarter was significantly less than the drop seen in the first quarter, when exports fell 32% to 4.7 bcm. Gazprom exported 9.6 bcm of gas to Turkey in the first half of 2009, including 4.7 bcm via the Blue Stream gas pipeline, which was particularly active in early 2009 during the Russian-Ukrainian gas dispute. Gazprom will publish official statistics on gas exports before August 15. | |
