Kyiv, July 29 (Interfax-Ukraine) - Foxtrot Home Appliances (Kyiv), one of the leading wholesalers and retailers of household appliances and audio and video equipment, part of Foxtrot Group, still occupies over 20% on the market in spite of a 35% fall in sales in the first half of 2009, according to the company's press service. "In spite of the difficult financial and economic conditions, we retained a functional and efficient chain. Foxtrot Home Appliances retained and strengthened its market share of 20%. The first half of 2009 was difficult, but the braking effect was not so significant. In general on the market the fall in sales was 50-60%, and the fall in sales in our chain was only 35%," the press service said citing Foxtrot Home Appliances Commercial Director Serhiy Karas. "Speaking about home appliances and electronics retail sales, I can say the market is gradually invigorating," Karas said. As reported, Foxtrot Home Appliances increased its turnover by 12% in one fiscal year as of April 1, 2009 compared to the previous fiscal year, to UAH 6 billion. The company is planning to increase the indicator by 17% by April 1, 2010, to UAH 7 billion. Foxtrot Home Appliances, established in 1994, is part of Foxtrot Group, together with the Sekunda and Montres chains. DEPOT Development Group has been part of the group since 2008. Its core business is real estate management. The founders of the group are Valeriy Makovetsky and Hennadiy Vykhodtsev. | |
