Kyiv, August 5 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The discounting of prices by sellers while signing deals on the secondary housing market in Kyiv was 17.6% of the initial offer price in July 2009, while in June 2009 it was 15%, according to a press release of Planeta Obolon real estate agency (Kyiv).

The data was collected in a study of actual deals signed in July with the participation of Planeta Obolon.

In general, the average sale price on the secondary housing market in Kyiv in July was $1,816 per square meter in deals signed with the participation of Planeta Obolon, and $1,828 per square meter in all deals for which the agency had complete and verified information.

According to Planeta Obolon, the average price per square meter in U.S. dollars from July 1 until August 1 fell by 0.9%. The average price in one-room flats fell by 5.7%, in two-room flats by 1.2%, in multi-room flats by 4.4%, while in three-room flats it grew by 1.4%.

According to the company experts' forecast, serious changes both in housing prices and sales and purchase deals on the housing market in Kyiv are not expected until autumn.
