One of mid-scale banks Calyon Bank (Ukraine) is intending to increase its statutory capital by UAH 85.231 million to UAH 170 million via additional issue of shares.

The bank has disclosed this in a statement.

This issue to be considered at the financial institution's shareholder meeting on April 27.

They plan to increase the capital through additionally issuing 3,409,240 ordinary registered shares of UAH 25 value per se.

The capital increased in order to attract supplementary finance for expanding the bank activities.

Now the bank's statutory capital makes up UAH 84.77 million.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, as of January 1, 2007, the bank's net assets were valued at UAH 2,098.5 million; its credit portfolio was valued at UAH 1,541.8 million, and internal capital - at UAH 188.96 million.

The bank ended 2006 with a net profit of UAH 52.148 million.

As of January 1, 2007, a 100% stake in Calyon Bank (Ukraine) belonged to the Calyon Global Banking company (France).
