Kyiv, July 17 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Head of the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine Valentyn Symonenko has accused the Cabinet of Ministers of assuming the functions of the parliament regarding increasing the statutory capital of the Naftogaz Ukrainy.

"This resolution [of the cabinet of July 8 on increasing the statutory capital of Naftogaz Ukrainy] is a duty of the Ukrainian parliament, which set the statutory fund of Naftogaz Ukrainy at UAH 20 billion, and clearly set the purposes for which this money should be used," he said at a press conference at Interfax-Ukraine on Thursday.

As reported, the Cabinet of Ministers decided to increase the statutory capital of the Naftogaz Ukrainy by UAH 18.6 billion [to a total of UAH 24.2 billion] on July 8.
