Kyiv, July 30 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Ukrainian government on Wednesday approved a resolution on state requirements for the organization of food and mixed market operation, according to the head of the state committee for regulatory policy and entrepreneurship, Oleksandra Kuzhel.

"We've adopted a resolution that sets out state requirements for the organization of markets," she said at a press conference in Kyiv on Wednesday.

Kuzhel said that the cabinet cannot approve rules for the activities of markets that are issued by local government bodies, and the cabinet only approved requirements on the organization of their work at the state level.

She said that in particular, the document says that the owner of the market could only be a legal entity. In addition, obligatory agreements should be signed with sellers that work at the market for more than 30 days.

Kuzhel said that in the case of the upgrade and restructuring of markets, their owners are to warn market workers a year ahead. In addition, she said that the issue should be agreed with local government bodies.
