Kyiv, July 28 (Interfax-Ukraine) – State enterprise Boryspil International Airport (Kyiv) in January to June 2009 saw its net profit rise by 2.14 times, to UAH 158.748 million, according to the airport's quarterly report.

The company's net income in the first half of 2009 rose by 46.8%, to UAH 448.46 million, while its operating profit grew by 2.4 times, to UAH 183.674 million.

Taking into account data for the first quarter of 2009 reported earlier, in the second quarter of 2009 the company saw a net profit of UAH 84.89 million, which is 79.5% up on the 2008 indicator. Its net income rose by 41.3%, to UAH 237.595 million, while its operating profit doubled, to UAH 109.478 million.

Boryspil International Airport is located on a site of around 1,000 hectares. It has two runways: one with a length of 4,000 meters and a width of 60 meters, and the other with a length of 3,500 meters and a width of 63 meters. The airport has three passenger terminals and a cargo complex.
