Kyiv, July 24 (Interfax-Ukraine) - Dnipropetrovsk-based Agro-Soyuz Company, a large supplier of machinery, spare parts and services in Ukraine, in January to June 2009 saw its net income fall by almost 8.4 times year-over-year, to UAH 40.14 million.

According to a company report at the State Commission for Securities and the Stock Market, its net profit in H1, 2009 came to over UAH 1 million, while in January to June 2008 its profit stood at UAH 16 million.

In April to June 2009, the company's net income plunged by almost 16 times year-over-year, to UAH 11.97 million, and its net profit shrank from UAH 13 million in Q2, 2008 to UAH 510,000 in Q2, 2009.

Agro-Soyuz was established in 1991. The main office of the company is located in Dnipropetrovsk. The retail chain includes 130 branches and representatives offices all over Ukraine.

Agro-Soyuz is an official distributor of leading machinery and spare parts producers in the CIS.
