Kyiv, August 3 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Russia's AEON Corporation plans to finalize a deal on the acquisition of the Ukrainian business subdivision of Russia's Mirax Group construction holding, which is realizing a project on the construction of the Mirax Plaza multifunctional complex located in Hlybochytska Street in Kyiv.

Vice President AEON Development Dmitry Starostin gave the information to Interfax-Ukraine.

The value of the deal is not disclosed.

Starostin said that AEON Corporation plans to develop the uncompleted building after its purchase. The construction of the complex was suspended in September 2008.

Starostin said the corporation is considering various options, although he did not disclose their details.

"We would develop [the building]. Various options are being considered," he said.

As reported, Mirax Group construction holding has signed a memorandum on intent to sign the agreement on the sale of Ukrainian business subdivision Mirax Ukraine.

AEON Corporation President Roman Trotsenko said that the sum of the deal varies in the range of several dozens of millions of dollars.

Mirax Group in late 2006 started the realization of a project for the construction of a multi-functional complex with a total area of 300,000 square meters on Hlybochytska Street in Kyiv's Podil District. The height of the complex will be 170 meters. The complex will include housing, offices, trade premises, a sports complex, a hotel and so on.

The project with all agreements was acquired by Mirax Group on the secondary market.

In September 2008, Mirax Group construction holding froze the construction of the 11th service floor in a 46-storey building of the Mirax Plaza multifunctional complex.

Mirax Group has been working on the Moscow real estate market since 2000. Initially it was the Moscow branch of Stroimontazh Corporation, which was established more than 12 years ago by Sergey Polonsky and Artur Kirilenko.

AEON Corporation was established in 2007 by Russian businessman roman Trotsenko. The holding unites Novoport airport managing company, AEON Development, Svyazstroi concern, Russian-Dutch Timmerman Yachts concern and the Znamya Plant.
